Friday night is family movie night at our house.  We have a floor picnic with pizza and watch a movie.  It's become a cherished tradition around here.  Recently, we watched "The Greatest Showman" which we hadn't seen for a few years and let me just remind you of how GREAT is really is.  All of us were singing and dancing around the living room, having the best time.  Now the soundtrack is on repeat pretty much every moment of every day in our home.  But I'm not mad about it...the music is so good!  

The Greatest Showman is such a wonderful party theme if your kiddo loves this movie!  You can take circus elements and turn it into something so easy and fun.  Here are a few of my best ideas for the best Greatest Showman Party!   

VENUE:  

In keeping with the theme, see if you can find an ariel acrobatics place that is willing to offer a private lesson or even host the party.  The kids will feel like they are actually in the movie!  

FOOD & DRINK: 

Think concessions at a circus!  You can easily do fun snacks like popcorn, peanuts and "circus" animal crackers as seen here.  But if you want to serve more than snacks, you could also do corndogs, nachos or even turkey legs!  

TABLETOP: 

Pretend you're under the big top by using the iconic red and white stripes of a circus tent.  We have an adorable selection of carnival themed plates and napkins in the shapes of tents, tickets and stars.  We also carry a banner and a table runner that are perfect for this themed party.  

DETAILS: 

We love adding little details to an event to make it extra special. 

For this particular theme, we used a tube of animals and gold pipe cleaners to make really special cupcakes.  We also used washi tape on solid colored cups to create little cupcake stands to accent the animals jumping through their "fiery" rings.  

For music, just put that soundtrack on repeat!  It's all you need!  

If it's been a while since you've seen "The Greatest Showman", put it on your movie watching list immediately.  You might have forgotten how lovely it is and how inspirational it can be for a Greatest Showman loving birthday boy or girl!
